What should I add to my diet to substitute the protein from red meat?
admin August 24th, 2010
I am not a big fan of red meat, I eat it like once a month, so should I take protein shake to fulfil the protein needs in my body? and what kind, whey protein or soy protein?

Most people actually get enough protein without thinking about it. Proteins are made of amino acids. There are 20 different kinds of amino acids that can be put together in tons of different ways, like legos, or beads, to create diffferent kinds of protein. Your body need 9 of these amino acids, meaning it can’t make them itself, you need to ingest them. There are only a few perfect proteins, which means they have all 9 of those amino acids in them. Eggs are one of those. Soy products also have lots of good protein. Something like rice or beans by themselves won’t have all the essential amino acids, but together they are complementary and can provide you with the nutrients you need.
sprouts of all kinds mixed
Peanut butter and other nuts have alot of protein in them. Do you like pork or chicken, they are also sources of protein. I would be careful about drinking protein shakes though.
soy protein, use tofu and make your own shakes because it is much better then the powered stuff and has huge amounts of protein. In a blender take the tofu, some fresh fruit and a little stevia add either some water or soy milk to make thin to your desired consistency.
nuts are a good source of protein. also chickin, fish, and cottage cheese.
Shakes have been proven not to be a perfect substitute for meals. Since you are specific to red meat, the best substitute would be poultry (chicken) and fish. If you are to substitute for meats entirely you should gather protein from a wide range of sources. Dairy, soy, legumes, beans, supplements, etc.
MILK! :^)

Almost all people need LESS than 70 grams of protein a day, and that’s going with a high number.
There are 7 gnras of protein in two tabelspoons of peanut butter and about 45grams in a 6oz serving of chicken.
Yeah. Pleas substituoe uot the red meat, ut don’t overdo it with soething that you don’t need much of. Don’t use silyl supplements. Eat something a bit less synthetic like vegetables.
You shouldn’t be too concerned.
As long as you eat a balanced diet, you will get plenty of protein, ie. eggs, milk, cheese, chicken, fish, the other red meat–pork, etc.
